The Story Behind the Brand
The pieces that make a house
feel like yours.
Govan & Ghio curates beautifully considered pieces for real living spaces — chosen by two women who understand, deeply, how a home should feel.
A balcony in St-Sauveur.
One very good conversation.
Some businesses are born in boardrooms. Ours was born on a balcony in the Laurentians, somewhere between the aperitivo and the first stars coming out. Ashley had the idea — she always has the idea — and the moment she laid it out, Stef was already in.
We saw the same gap: beautifully made things sitting unseen while real homes settled for less. We knew we could change that — not by chasing trends or filling catalogues, but by curating pieces that genuinely belong somewhere specific, in a home that deserves them.
That's still what drives us. Every piece we offer has been chosen because it fits somewhere real — in morning light, above a console, across from a chair you love. We think about the rooms. We think about the people in them.
"The right piece doesn't just fill a space. It changes how a room feels — and how you feel every time you walk into it."
We work with interior designers and their clients to find pieces that were always meant to be there — chosen with intention, placed with care.
Govan
Ashley walks into a room and immediately knows what it needs. As an interiors specialist and lifestyle curator, she has spent her career helping people understand that the spaces they live in matter — and that the right piece changes everything.
She co-founded Govan & Ghio on that conviction: that beautifully considered things belong in real homes, chosen by people who know exactly how they want to live.
Ghio
Stéphanie can build a brand identity and close a B2B deal in the same afternoon — and has, for 25 years. With a background spanning commercial operations, brand development, and graphic design, she is the strategic and creative engine behind Govan & Ghio: sharp, bilingual, and deeply invested in every decision they make.
She co-founded this because she believes beautifully considered interiors should be accessible to anyone who cares enough to seek them out — and she's here to make sure they are.
